Default 2014 foreman with 420 rancher gear?

Hey guys I'm buying a new 2014 foreman and wanted to know if the '14 foremans are faster than the older foremans 500? I also wanted to know if I could put rancher 420 gears in the foreman since they are higher gears? Would I need to change anything? Since there higher gears and bigger engine would it make it run faster? Also I'm going to run 27 silverback xlites I know they are going to hurt my speed but anyway could i use the higher rancher gears with the tires or stay with the lower foreman gears thanks

The 2014 retained there 475 OHV motor with same 28hp so they will have the same top end as always since the Foreman could never pull it,s top 5th to high rpms anyways , going taller gearing would be pointless.

I ride with a 2009 420 Rancher and 2007 500 and both have the same acceration and top end.
With 27 tires I think the stock gears of the foreman is what you want. Hard core mud guys with Honda 4x4s usually get aftermarket gear reducers. The other way around. Gear Reduction - Foreman 500 / Hormell's Xtreme ATV
To make up for no dedicated low range sub tranny and the lower powered OHV motors vs the higher powered OHC everyone else uses.

Great choice of 4x4 , its the first and only Honda with a diff lock from the factory. hopefully the rest get it later on.
