Would like to know if all 3 lobes on 500 cam should be the same measurements, like 1.288? Also what is the easy way to change cam?

Lobes are the same height. Read the manual! The cam shaft slides out from the left side.Thermostat housing has to be removed first to gain access to cam cover.

Rotate the engine over until the flywheel key way is at 12 O' clock the pin on camshaft will be at 12 also once this is done your timing mark will line up on the flywheel if not rotate the engine one more revolution. Mark the chain to the cam gear as a references point before removing the cam chain tensioner. Remove the rockers loosen the adjuster nuts first then the rocker asm. Pull the cam gear off the camshaft and use a bungy cord to hold the timing chain out of the way, attach the other end to the handle bars. There you go camshaft is out just make sure to lube the cam with asm lube and that both camshaft and flywheel key are at 12 o'clock once the chain tensioner reinstalled. Turn the engine over by hand making sure everything is good. Valve adjustment is .006" on intake and exhaust just an FYI.

This Guy has a pic of his worn cam next to his new cam.
