Default What is this?

I've spotted this on eBay described as a 2012 Honda 420. As it is nothing like any Honda 420 I have seen, does anyone know what it is? It has Honda decals, OK they are easy to stick on, but there is a picture of the engine case with Honda cast in. The engine is transverse, but looks different to the old Honda 300 model.

It does have that “hunched” look and rubbish tyres of a Chinese utility quad, but how could the makers get away with casting Honda on the engine if it wasn’t a Honda? Firms like Honda would sue the pants off them, and definitely not let them export to Europe (the quad pictured is in Ireland).

That's not a Honda. You should send that information to Honda Powersports.

China ATVs use a lot of Honda and Yamaha clone motors so bolting on a different OEM engine side cover or recoil takes a minute.

Maybe its just the seller's idea not the manufacturers.
Also since when is a Rancher 420 a air cooled motor. LOL
Get away from those crooks.

All Hondas utility atvs are manufactured in South Carolina along with the motors. The sport bikes are manufactured in japan along with the motors. I've never ordered a honda oem part or accessory (dirt bikes and atvs) that was labeled china. Always USA or japan. Never seen a casting marked "China" on a honda. Nothing about that Chinese bike in question is a honda besides the sticker kit

Even when ATVs are made in China or Mexico like Polaris,Yamaha and Can-AM ,they are just assembled with a much cheaper labour rate.
The Parts they bolt together are still made in USA,Japan and Canada, its just that now a person making $1 a day with a whip across their back is on the assembly line not a union person making $30/hour with paid holidays and benifits.
