Located under the front panel. One of the first Polaris atvs to use an ecm module instead of just a regulator rectifier. Depening on date built, has two different ecms.If you have a charging problem there has been an updated ecm on the 2x4 and 4x4 ecms. Item#29. You can just look at the part # on your ecm. Thank you for the reply Old Polaris Tech. I changed the ECM last week and am still having the same issue. What is happening is the machine will start fine and u can run the machine for about 10 or 15 minutes, then it will lose all power…meaning that the speedo will go blank and it will not turnover. Just as if the battery is dead. If you let it sit for 1 to 2 minutes it will start back up. I then can use it for 2 to 15 minutes then it will happen again. Any ideas what is happening?

Then slice the plastic pouch open that's up from the battery. It's has a 20 amp thermal circuit breaker than can shut off on over loads or if it's weak or corroded. Will shut down power to electric start, display, lights, etc. Shows item #2 on the parts break down, but lists the 10 amp breaker for the fan. Look further down this harness and you can see the other one. You can get this breaker cheap at any auto store.Dirt Cheap Yamaha, Honda, Arctic Cat & Polaris OEM Parts & Accessories – Cycle Parts Warehouse Install the new one, silicone and tape up the pouch.

Old Polaris Tech I hate to be a bothersome…but is there 2 circuit breakers I need to change? I know where the one is at near the battery, but is there another one I need to change. I seen the item 2 on there and that is a 20 amp. Is there a 10amp I also need to change?

Tried to explain that in my first post as the parts diagram isn't accurate. The 10 amp breaker under the front panel is just for the fan,the 20 amp breaker close to the battery is the main circuit breaker that supplies power to the lights, display, starter, ect. Wouldn't hurt to check both if you wish.
