I'm new here so bear with me. I just picked up this quad not running. I've been checking for loose wires and that sort of thing and I found a 9pin plug with 7 wires but its not connected to anything. it looks like it should connect to something just behind the starter but cant figure out what it was. Anyone with any suggestions?

 

Make sure your cdi is plugged in look under the fuel tank for a small box black usually possibly even wire tied onto the frame spar, make sure it's plugged in.
Maybe something like this

 

Does this quad have the alarm on it? I have seen people unplug these to keep the battery from being discharged. But, this should not keep it from running, supposedly. I should try this on mine.

The CDI picture above should be helpful, try it. Plug it in and let us know what happened.

Does it turn over?
Does it have spark?
Is there clean, fresh fuel in the tank making it to the carb?
