I recently hooked my battery up backwards and burned the stator to where I was getting continuity through my hot to the ground. I removed the stator and the grounding issue went away. I installed a new stator and made sure that it was hooked up exactly the same as when I took the old one out. I started the atv and it ran fine but the stator started getting hot again so I shut it off before the new stator melted. I am thinking I may have burnt something else or I have a bad ground somewhere. started solenoid? rectifier? coil? remote kill? any help would be greatly appreciated... 110 tao tao 2007.
