Question Fuel pump makes "ting, ting, ting" noise

Arctic Cat 2005 500LE automatic. My fuel pump recently started making a "ting, ting, ting" sound. Is it going to fail? The machine runs just fine, but I would hate to get stuck out in the boondocks when this quits.

Anybody have a comment on the clicking coming from my Arctic Cat 500LE fuel pump?

If this is your model, the pump is 32 bucks. You can always pull a vacuum on the pulse line to the carb to see if makes this noise. Don't know if this helps or not. 2005 Arctic Cat 500 FIS (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION) (A2005IBM4BUSA) GAS TANK ASSEMBLY | CyclePartsNation Arctic Cat Parts Nation

I'll try that. What does it indicate if it stops clicking? I don't think they come apart, it looks sealed.

For 32 bucks,it isn't worth rebuilding it even if they had kits.(at least not to me) Noise could be internal plastic valve noise opening and closng or something else.If you can directly pin point the noise to the pump, and it didn't make that noise until now, might be a good idea just to get one to have handy.

Well, I'll have to wait until I visit the States to get another pump for backup. You can't exactly get one at a store here. Surprisingly enough, there are very few ATV's here, mostly they ride horses where we live.

Wow, not much activity here in a little less than a year.
I did get a spare fuel pump. After almost a year of this tinging (louder then the engine) it is still working just fine...but I carry the spare with me.
