I need to know the oil weight and capacity for a trx 300. I am planning on putting around 2 quarts of Castrol Syntec 20/50. Is this OK?

for me the best oil for all around weather conditions is maximum 4 10/40.

you want to make sure about what oil you use, especialy if you have a manual clutch.

Valvoline 10W-40. Get it by the case at WALMART.
Been running it in my 300 4yrs and it ain't blew up yet. The manual does call for 10w-40.

Thanks for the info. I bought this atv used and abused and don't have a manual for it. I'm going to get a service manual sooner or later, ,but I haven't got it yet.
