i bought a 90cc china atv i think the atv is 2005 the previous owner said he put in a new stator, which he gave me the old one. i just opened up the side of the motor to reveal its not the same as the old one. the old one appears to be 8 pole and the new one is 6 pole, both having 5 wires. so im asking may this be my problem of no spark? here is both pictures

they need to have the same amount of poles. Plus the new one is missing the pickup just above the black wrapped pole on the right. If i remember correctly that is for RPM and if its not getting a signal it does not know the engine is turning over and no spark
