My bashan 200 isnt starting. Had it runnimg this mornimg amd set the carb up. Went out for a ride to have some lunch and when i wemt to come home it wouldnt start. What is best to start checking

 

Well.. be a bit more accurate on the 'it doesn't start', that might be a good beginning.

Does the starter turn it over? If not, there's your issue, check your battery.
If it does then you need to check if you've got a spark.

Those would be the absolute first things.

 

It does turn over. Havent checked spark yet as it was runnimg fine first thing this morning. Went out for lunc and as i pulled up at the pub it cut out. Hasnt started since but does turn over. Have noticed the fuse coming off of the battery is wrapped in foil for some reason. Almost to bypass it!! More bodges that ive now found
