I had my 450 stored for the winter. This spring the battery was dead so I gave it a charge. Now it won't start. It ran great until it was stored, any recommendations? I live a LONG way from a dealer and don't have a vehicle to haul it in.

it wont turn over or it wont fire?? start by draining all the gas, change your fuel filter ( if you have one)refill we clean fresh gas, pull the plug and make sure its clean and in good shape(replace if needed)make sure the choke cable is free , check any and all electrical connections between the battery, ignition switch ( including fuses... maybe when ya charged it you popped a fuse??) , finally.. consult your manual ,it may suggest something simple that you have over looked. If all else fails loaded if up and take it to the dealer. Many times theres a simple fix to a problem such as this where it was running fine one day, then dead ( even though it sat over the winter) the next. (rodent damage to wiring anyone??)

Turns over but, no response similar to trying to start with the kill switch on

if you didn't drain the gas from the carb or add fuel stabilizer to the gas you probably need a carb clean.

use the primer button on the carb, 2 or 3 pumps and away you go!

I think every one has covered the usual suspects: Does it have SPARK, fuel, and compression???. Is kill switch in the center position? ALSO-- If you have mice in your storage area, check for a nest in your airbox, and for wiring damage caused by them chewing EVERYTHING.
Let us know how you make out. (4-MAN-S in atv time)
