I am attempting to rebuild a carb for 1985 Honda TRX250. I have the kit and a manual which says to remove the piston throttle valve, I removed the screw in the valve arm but cannot slide out the shaft to release the valve arm. There is not enough clearance as the throttle drum is connected to the shaft. Does anyone have any tricks to get the shaft out and release the piston throttle?
