Rubicon D-1 & D-2
#2
D1 runs the engine at a higher RPM which honda calls the horsepower mode.D2 runs the engine at a lower RPM that is called the torque mode.I have heard some Ruby owners say they cant really tell much of a difference between D1&D2,I can tell alot of difference on mine.Ive only had my ruby a week and let me tell you this is one great super smooth running quad. The tranny is amazing!

There is definitly a difference between D1 & D2 ,Di one feels much sportier and D2 feels very weak but is not we do side by side test and even thow it sounds and feels dead it is preety close,I guess because it does not rev very much and keeps at the same rpm.

I also notice that the D-1 enables the motor to rev. out higher between shifts and does have noticeably more engine braking, and with D-2 the engine does not rev. out as far, but the engine braking is not nearly as effective.

Hey, guys I have to agree D1 should be for steep trails and D2 should be for open areas. D1 has much better engine braking and just seems to have quicker acceleration. D1, D2, Low range and Esp, so many choices and so little time to ride!!!! Its an outstanding machine!!!!
