The 400 EX answers all of your questions.

This is the easist question to answer. You would have a harder decision on what socks to wear. Hav you rode both bikes? The warrior is slow, no power and doesnt handle well, but it does have reverse so that would give it a 1 out of 10 star. Now the 400ex will probally go down as the best bike or one of all time. It just lacks power (compared to the DS and Raptor) and reverse.

400EX all the way

yo sykoquadrider I agree with you that the 400ex is a better quad but the warrior isnt as bad as you say. first of all the the warrior has great handling. it is the best trail quad. 2nd- The warrior has plenty of speed. if you put a pipe and a k&n on there it will take out a 400ex. If you dont know anything about the quad you are putting down dont do it.

The warrior is not a bette woods bike. The 400ex is the best or one of the top in the woods. The warrior is a down on the latter form the 400ex. I give the warrior credit, it was a good quad 10 years ago. And son I am sure I know enought to talk.

I have a 1997 warrior, it will smoke a stock 400ex. But I also got mod's on it. I rode both of them before in the woods, hillclimbing u name i did it. I will go with 400ex. If it was my pick. I would put a 440 kit into it, and it would all pimped out.

the only thing that a warrior has over a 400EX is that it has reverse. your don't need that anyways!

only bad thing about a 400ex is the no reverse and very low ground clearence. I rode one last week and was not impressed. It got hung up on allot of mud and different objects. Yes it had power but that isn't always the best thing in the world..

Sorry but, if you think a pipe and K&N can make up for 10+hp and 20+lbs, then you must be hittin the crack pipe a little too much. Also, the handling is similar, but I'd definitely give that department to the EX as well (and most of the magazine reviews tend to agree with me).

The Warrior is a little outdated, but it is still a great quad. It's a little cheaper than the EX, and has reverse. Its a great bike for riders who are mildly experienced. It will not touch the EX in the woods, jumping, or drag racing. They were the #1 sport bike for years, and you still see them everywhere.
