Changed spark plug cleaned carb pulled motor piston in bad shape however not bad enough not to run. Does anyone know if there are sensors that will not allow it to run...?

Since you said the pistion was in bad shape you should do a compression check,if the compression is low it will not run!!!

Can you pull it over with the Backup Recoil? If yes, then keep going. You need 3 things: Spark, Fuel, and Air.

Do you have spark? Pull the plug out, put the wire back on it and rest the metal piece against the head. Crank it a few times to see if you have spark.

If you have spark, check to see that your fuel is making it into the cylinder. Perhaps a jet is clogged, or something is stuck in the lines.

Can you get air into the carb. Check your filter.

If you have those basic things, and you haven't changed the carb settings, then post another message.

Now that I read your message again, I would imagine that it may be something else. What did you do to clean your carb.

How did you pull the piston? Did you assemble it exactly? Timing, etc....
