Me and a few of my friends are gonna run aour quads down the quarter mile this Fri night at Red River Raceway. If any of you live close enough to join us, come on down. One reason that my Raptor didnt run but 76 mph last time is because I had the airbox lid on (put it on to wash it and forgot to take it off) One of my friends has a Raptor with the GYT silencer, PD air filter kit and a 14 tooth front, Im gonna run my 13 and see how much of a difference the 14 makes on top end.I hear there are gonna be a few DSes and some stroked Shees there so I may have some competition this time.( Raptor kicked a mudhole in the a** of 2 DSes last time)

No2strokebs.....why not stop by the local dealership and pick up a 15 tooth front sprocket for the drag...probably still be topped out before the 1/8th mile mark though? Should be a cheap way for a couple more mph's. Anyway...good luck at the strip.

Well, I have tried the 15 on the front and it is a little to much.It felt like the 15 was so tall that it would hardley pull 5th. It is pretty cool in 1st though, you can hammer it and it wont pull the front more than about 4 inches.

OK, ive got one for the Polaris owners. Saw a guy run a 00 400 Scrambler down the track, he had a pipe, HPM clutch, or whetever the he11 you call it. He ran a top speed of, oh my gosh. 57 blistering mph. It took him so long to get down the track that they sent out the rescue truck because they thought he broke something, which he probably did. That is the ONLY Polaris I have ever seen run down the quarter mile. Funny thing was, the owner seemed pretty stoked that it went that fast Yeah, they can go through mud, but that not a hard thing to do, anything with 4wd, 25in tires will go through mud. So tell me this, can a Polaris do ANYTHING better than any other quad? Hey wait, it can wear out brakes faster, it can sink in water faster, it can tear up the drive belt faster,it can snap the front driveshaft faster, the resale value can fall faster,it will develop squeeks, and groans faster,it will stay broken longer, but at least you got a product that was made in the USA. I have had more quality come out of my a**

I'd say something DID break/go wrong, because I've had my Xplorer 400 4x4 going about 64mph, and that's with wider tires and a meatier 4WD system than the Scrambler. Not to mention a curb weight of 600 lbs, some 60 lbs heavier than the Scrambler. And, this was on a flat dirt road, not pavement.
