I just got some of this 2 stroke oil for my Banshee because a few guys around town said it was THE OIL to use, is this stuff really that good. I also have some Bel Ray H1R synthetic oil but I have no idea which one is better and I haven't used either one yet since I've always used Yamalube R2 or 2R whatever it is. Any one ever use either or both of these oils before and which one gives the most power and which protects the best.

That is what FTZ Racing recommends with their engines... It smells good too when it burns! LOL

Klotz Benol castor is known for having excellent film strength. This translates into excellent lubrication, since high film strength reduces the chance of shearing, thus helping to eliminate the possibility of having metal to metal contact, particularly with regards to the piston/cylinder relationship. It does have it's down side. It doesn't burn as clean as a synthetic, and will leave more deposits, fouling and residue behind. It also increases the chances of fouling plugs. It is not the best choice for running engines equipped with power valves, unless you want to clean them more frequently. Ring sticking is at greater potential risk as well.

Klotz makes a full synthetic lube called R-50 that has the high film strength of Benol, plus the added benefits of a cleaner burning synthetic. This is the oil I use.

Rog

Yamalube 2R is actually a good oil. I've been using it for years.

Klotz also makes SuperTechniplate which uses 20% castor the other 80% is synthetic. I use it in the Polaris all the time and never fouled a plug. It is advised not to use castor oils below 32° for it does not blend well with fuel at this temp.
