what a future polaris dealer told me.....

i was in richmond, texas (on 359) at a suzuki dealer who is switching to polaris in the near future. of course he slammed my arctic cat, as i knew he would. but then he said something that made me question whether or not he should even sell polaris. we were talking about a 1999 magnum 500 and he said, quite adamantly, that the magnum 500 was a two (2) stroke. he even attempted to call polaris to confirm his belief and put me in my place. this guy is a (short name for richard) and if any of you are from houston or anywhere near to richmond, please go talk to this idiot and set him straight before he hangs the polaris sign and gives polaris a bad name.

I have found that most people in the business know very little about their own livelyhood. I stopped by the Honda shop last Friday to buy a helmet for my 1 year old, and they were talking to me about the Rubi. I told them I had a SP500 and was not looking to downgrade. (LOL) I then told them about the Kawasaki650 and possible SP700. They said that both bikes were just rumors .

hehe. I had a simiar story happen to me.
A friend had smashed my sled, and I had to change the left shock. So I went to the dealer and asked him what brand of shock I had, caus' there's only written HPG (stands for High Pressure Gas...I guess). So I went there and asked him what brand it was, if I could take it apart just to change the rod (only the rod was bent). The guy said, there FOX shocks, and you can't take them apart. I can order a new one for 400$. hu. I kinda tilted, and said I'll be coming back after sone "shopping". In 2 days, I "discovered" that my shocks are manufactured by KYB, and that ALL fox shocks are rebuildable. He got everything wrong.
