Default Polaris 250 Four-Wheel Drive Won't Engage

We have a 1993 Polaris 250, I believe its a Trail Boss, and its suddenly decided it doesn't want to engage the on demand four-wheel drive. I am using it to plow snow, and it is next to useless without it.

Any advice on when might be causing this would be greatly appreciated!

Does the awd switch light up when in gear, plus have you checked voltage to the hub coils?

The AWD light does come one when activated. We haven't checked for voltage yet because both wheels won't aren't working. We are looking for a fuse of some kind that is shown in the manual but we're have a hard time getting to it.

Just pop the panel and see if you have power on the two small gray hub wires at the circuit board when in gear and awd switch on.

We found the problem. It was the 4wd switch inside the... ah, I've forgotten what its called. The sealed box attached to the handle and throttle that controls the on demand 4wd. The button was somehow broken so we bypassed it with a wire.

Thank you for taking the time to help!

Probably same thing as this guy did a while back. I'd make sure the hot wire you hooked to is a red/white,only powers up when the key is on.
"I think I have finally got it. I hooked the grey wire from the awd switch to a hot wire. The awd switch controls the grey wires to the hubs. Awd on power to the coils. Awd off no power to coils. Front tires rotate the way they should. When you mentioned a temporary fix hooking into the block on he panel it made me nervous, so I tried an easier approach."
