Default 2008 Honda Rincon. Won't run

My 2008 Honda Rincon won't stay running unless the choke is on. Whether it's fully on or just a quarter of the way on. I rode it for 30 minutes non-stop. So i know te motor was warned up. It's full of gas. The gas is (on). I'll get it driving but as soon as it comes to a complete stop, it's dies out.

Sounds like it's not getting enough gas. Clean the carb is the best thing to do. Happened to my 1986 Honda Fourtrax 250.

It probably is the gas but a 08 Rincon doesn't have a carb, its injected. the filter in the fuel pump is usually what clogs on the EFI Hondas

If its fuel injected, then why does it have a fuel shutoff valve? I thought only machines with a carb had those. And a choke, that shouldn't be needed for fuel injection either. I believe this must an older carburated Rincon and not a 2008 model.

Some fuel injection systems have a choke and others have a tap, I think the changeover from 650cc carburettor to 680cc EFI came about 2008. If it has a carb, it will need cleaning out. I haven't worked on an injected Rincon but the 420 and old model 500 injection had the filter and pump in a canister under the tank. Injectors can get dirt in the top of them, but removing and cleaning the injector can be a tricky operation.

I was checking earlier to see when they changed from the 650 engine with a carb to the 680 fuel injection. Looks like it was 2006. I just thought that fuel injection didn't need a choke but maybe that's how Honda did it back then. 2006 Honda FourTrax Rinconâ„¢ Base Reviews, Prices, and Specs
The 2005 model had the 650 engine and a carb.

Okay. Thank you. I'll have to clean it. I'll get back with you. It's cold as crap out now so I'll have to check when it warms up

I never heard of a joke on a EFI. There never was a 680 carb only the 650 had a carb and the last 650 was made in 2005.

Suzuki King Quad 450s all had a choke, and the old model 420 Honda had a tap under the tank.
