Smile 01 Trailblazer handlebar control compatibility

Can a handlebar switch control from a 2002 be used on my 2001. They look very similar but have different part numbers. Do they use the same wiring harness ?

The 2001 has the same combo kill / start switch where you lift the switch to start it. I guess what matters then is if the wiring harness assignments are the same.

Then possible it might work as a couple years did have the push up switch, can't remember all the models. And yes, possible wiring can be a little different or even wiring in the connector pins could be switched around. That's why I say always get the correct one for your model, then you won't have to worry or possibly have problems.
