Default 2007 Polaris outlaw 525 irs stalls when wet

When my atv gets wet it stalls and wont start for a while. no spark at plug. new ignition coil. cleaned and taped teather plug. Wrap all connections in plastic. Covered all connections in dielectric grease. Ive tryed so many things but no luck. I thought maybe water getting in stator / pulser coil area.. I've sprayed everything with water and it doesn't stall but when i go through a 6" puddle it does.. would cdi work intermittently?..if the cdi needs replacement, do you recommend a aftermarket one? please help

Can't remember if the fuse holder is sealed, but you might check it and the wiring to see if moisture is getting into it.Something sounds like it's still getting water and grounding out the engine.A cdi can act up,but the only way to tell is to substitute with a known good one as most don't have a good way of checking. Plus simple things like a small break in the plug wire can ground the spark to the engine when wet.

Don't think too much of them myself. Seen too many problems people have had especially with the Procom cdis if you're leaning that way. Know there's Rev Tech,Motion Pro,etc out there, but haven't heard much on them. For the most part still can't beat the Kokusan cdi that's on it now, basically the same as what's on the Ktm 525 dirt bike, but with electrical problems can happen even on good brands.
