Question 2003 Yamaha Kodiak 450 4x4

I have a 2003 Kodiak ATV (non irs) and can't find an after market receiver hitch that is strong enough for a Groundhog Max. Does any body know where I can get one for my ATV? THANK YOU for any help!!

If your stock ball mount can't handle it then your ATV is over loaded. The stock ball mount is rated for the ATV's 1200lb tow capacity.

Of course I don't know what a Groundhog Max is. I know most ATVs run out of Wheel turning power or traction before the ball mount fails.

Is you ball mound welded to the rear axle or bolted? If the bolts are failing you can change them to stronger G9 bolts at any hardware store.

Actually there is a lot of up pressure. The Groundhog Max is a tilling device that uses the weight of the atv to loosen the dirt. Some people have bent the stock hitch with the pressure.

My friend welded a 3500lb class two receiver (1.5") to the frame of his 660 Grizzly and it works great. His stock setup worked ok but he was sick of wrenching every time he switched from a 1-7/8" ball to a 2" ball.
