Why not just install a carb kit and solve the over flow problem.Usually a worn needle and seat along with possibly the float arm needing adjustment. Shouldn't have to go into a carb more than one.Cleaning doesn't always work. Here's a kit for a later model ,but they probably didn't change much. Plus cheaper than buying piece by piece from the dealer. The 68 bucks carbs are aftermarket ones, may do okay, but possible you'd still have to check/replace the jets if they didn't match yours. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Yamaha-250-Bruin-Carburetor-Carb-Rebuild-Kit-YFM250-2005-2006-/121631076388?hash=item1c51c6f024&vxp=mtr

I don't have any experience w carbs really guy said he cleaned it that didn't work then orders that kit to rebuild it and still did the same , I know when you are trying to start it it takes awhile, and gas comes out of overflow , which made me think it was float out of adjustment or bad float needle ? Isn't it suppose to stop flow of fuel before it runs out of overflow ?

If it has a rebuild kit in it,sounds like he didn't set the float level correctly. The float arm shuts off the fuel supply before it hits the over flow tube inside the carb bowl. RARE occasions the over flow tube can split and can leak regardless of float setting. One way to tell is to remove the bowl, fill with gas and see if it leaks. Found a bunch of these on old Honda carbs mainly.

Well i went ahead and ordered the rebuild kit, and that carb was not recently rebuilt , also found the intake boot was not on all the way causing it to suck air it seems to run pretty good now and idles great, i changed the oil and now it has a ticking sound that it didnt before, i did overfill it a bit & havnt had chance to drain it down, dont know if that could cause it? I watched a youtube video guy changing oil on a beartracker he said they took3.2 quarts of oil so after 1 3/4 i decide to check and it looked like its half or so over does anyone know what they are suppose to take?
