Default Sprocket size change

Looking at changing the front sprocket on the 110 gio. Seems like it needs more bottom end as it struggles sometimes at low speed or a stop getting going up a hill again. Was thinking of going down 1 tooth on the front. Also need to go down as for some reason i do not have enough adjustment for the chain been like that since i put the new chain, and front and rear sprockets on.

Anyone done this how were the results?
