2008 sportsman 500 no spark

Default 2008 sportsman 500 no spark

I have a 08 sportsman 500 efi ho.. I recently replaced stator , solenoid, starter, bendix, checked white wire running from ignition to solenoid, with turning key it has power to solenoid but wont turn over, pod cluster comes on, lights work, flip kill switch all go off like it should , but its not getting no spark nor power to start wheeler like it has a kill switch on or something,, I jumped solenoid to check for spark and to try to crank , but not spark , so wont crank,,so leaving me to believe comp is bad?? please help!! any ideas!!

Check inside the thumb throttle. There is a switch inside of it for safety should the throttle cable become stuck. If the cable doesn't fully go back with release of pressure on the throttle it closes the switch and kills the engine. I think it's called the ECT switch.

ETC = Electronic Throttle Control. It should be okay if you have 1/16" - 1/8" of slack.
