Brakes chatter on SP500HO

The other day I went down a steep hill. I had to use the brakes a few times and they chattered, click, click, etc. Mostly from the rear. Is this normal? They worked OK, EBS worked too good, I got side-ways once. What a heart stopper! I am no light weight, maybe they were complaining. Any ideas. Bill, time for brass pads?
