TaoTao 125G wire harness, "old" vs "new" style
#1
I'm rebuilding a little 125G for my 5yr old and I'm currently in the middle of installing all new electrical harness and components. When I ordered the harness there was an "old" and "new" style listed. I think I received the "new" style but several of the wire colors and connectors did not match so I think the ATV originally had the "old" harness.
My question is, has anyone converted a 125G from old to new harness and if so what are the gotchas to look for? I think I have about 85% of it sorted out but there are a few unknowns with the start/stop switch and push button start.
Right now both harnesses are layed out on my kitchen table so its easy to compare but the wife is getting weary of a dirty old harness on her new table. Next step is to install it all back on the bike so any help before I take it off the table is appreciated.

Ended up rebuilding the old harness with new connectors. The "new" style harness did not have a charge circuit from the magneto.
Today it started and I rode it around the yard for a bit but the throttle is revving high on idle, looks like I need a new spacer and a little idle adjust. Also curious about adjusting the throttle cable as there is a lot of free play in the thumb throttle before it engages.

I'm not familiar with your machine but most carburettors have a slow running adjuster on them, either a screw to stop the butterfly from closing fully or on slide carbs, a screw to stop the slide from fully closing.
