what do you think is better for all around recreation and light duty on a vineyard, the 00' xplorer 250 4x4 or the t-wolf 250 4x4? I've heard the new polaris was awesome.

Just got a good up close look at the new Polaris 250 this past weekend. I have no doubts it will be alittle better performer than the T-wolf and the ride will be much better as a former owner of a T-Wolf and a Polaris 300 4x4 (1994)model which looked a lot like the new Polaris I can tell you that I liked the Polaris much better even though the T-wolf was shaft drive we really liked the performance of the Polaris better nothing against the Yamaha its a good machine just our own preferance. Our= my wife liked the 300 best ,I did to.

I have had a 300 Xplorer 4x4 for more than a year and have taken it to Utah to trail ride the Paiute. I work for a camp and I ride this machine every day. It gets worked hard and, besides basic routine maintanence, the only thing I have ever done to it is have the front and rear chains tightened. Since the new 250 will have shaft drive to the front, I doubt there will be hardly any problems at all with that machine. The rear chain is very simple to tighten.

I would go with the Polaris. I'm not very familiar with the Yamaha but it is a 4 stroke and the Polaris should have much better power. I own a Trail Blazer and love the snappy response.

Just a little input I own a xplorer 250 and a arctic cat 300 ,and I will say that theres no comparison with speed with out a doubt the xplorer is at least twice as quick as the arctic cat,Remember I said quick not fast, you see quick is the time it takes to go from point a to point b,fast is the top speed of the machine.which by the way I believe both are the same 40-45 mph, this doesnt mean I like my xplorer more I do find my self rinding the arctic cat alot moe probly due to the outstanding fuel economy of a four stroke the xplorer uses twice the fuel of the AC also the better suspension and being alot quiter of a machine is what make my AC suit me better, how ever your talking t-wolf and a close friend of mine has one and all I can say is reliability is xcellent however compared to what I own his has got to be the slowest and hardest ride ever any way if noise and fuel dont bother you Id go with the xplorer any day.Later guys
