Default 2001 scrambler 2x4

So I picked up a 2001 scrambler 400 2x4 last week. Runs great super clean. Was wondering if anyone knows anything about the cooling system on these guys. I turn the key on and the cooling fan is always on it never shuts off. Is this normal or some kind of electrical issue? Any help is greatly appreciated!

Some people have rigged them so the fan stays on . A thermal switch screwed in the bottom right corner of the rad is what suppose to kick the fan on and off.

Thank you for the quick reply. I thought the fan constantly running was a sign that it was overheating.

When it boils over from that small over flow bottle on the left side below the gas tank, then it's over heating.
I had that happened twice, when my fan died and when I had a airlock in the antifreeze system.

I had a scrambler 500 4x4 before myself and the fan would mostly only kick on when it was sitting idling because when its moving you're getting enough air to cool the engine off without the fan kicking on. Fan must be wired directly as TLC said.
