06 kodiak 450 leaking oil from front diff and driveshaft
hi guys i have an 06 kodiak 450 and ive been doing maintenance on it before i put on my snow plow for the winter. after my oil change along with changing the front diff and rear diff oil i noticed that theres a leak coming from where the drive shaft connects to the front diff. when i changed the front diff oil, there were little to no oil there. so how would i repair this leak.
bad seal? or do i have to repair the whole diff or drive shaft? im a noob at this and this is my first time.
if its the seal how would i remove the drive shaft to replace the seal? also there is a lot of play when i move it.
drive shaft connecting to the front diff where the leak is

Its the seal. Common problem on Yamahas the good news is the seals do not cost much and it not a hard job to change. Here is one of many videos on changing them. Bottom vid is a axle seal.
Ok good. I bought the seal cost about 20bucks. so it's the seal even though there's a lot of play when I tugged on the drive shaft? Thanks for your reply
