performance exhaust for 400 explorer?
#3
94-01 explorer 400s have a one piece exhaust system. The pipe and silencer are made as a single unit, therefore it isn't possible to mount the silencer to another pipe. I wish it was it would be nice to be able to switch back and forth.

Joe is correct.I wanted to know what yr so I could suggest a high performance pipe and silencer.HDP has a pipe,so does PSI and Dynoport, but it depends on what yr Xplorer you have?I have a friend working on a PSI pipe for me as we speak. He is suppose to improve the low end on it and also make it quite with a stock Scrambler silencer/spark arrester.I let you know how it performs when I install it,

hoolio,
I have the Dynoport pipe/silencer on my 00 Xplorer to.I told Rich [the owner] of Dyno that im a ASI [atv safety instructor]and I MUST be at or below 94db in Mich and that I must also have a spark arrester. He sends me a pipe that sound tested at 98db.The pipe will soon be going BACK to Richard.I hate it when you ask for something and DONT receive what you ordered,
