Default help

Got a trailboss 325 2001 rode ran great few days then started making a grind or kinda pop sound only while in forward while giving any amount of gas goin down road hard to pinpoint where noise is coming from. Any help would be appreciated thanks guys

Check the front sprocket for any missing teeth or spline damage along with the drive chain and rear sprocket. May be in this area. Place the machine up against a pole and give it some gas. If it make noise and the tires aren't turning,could be the silent chain in the gear case has stretched and jumping teeth. Common problem on these machines. Chain is 38 bucks,but more trouble to pull the gear case than it is to replace the chain. That's the easy part. Tires spin while quad is against post and makes same noise on an off.had to have buddy do test an he said maybe lil too much slack in chain?

Adjust the chain and place it up against the post again and see if the tires just spin with no noise. You may have gotten lucky on this one..

Thanks won't be able to get to it till tomorrow but hope that's it. Also what's your overall opinion on the trailboss 325 any common major issues?reliable machines?

Reliable for the most part. Good entry level machine for general play or some light work. Would have been better had it had a low range transmission.Would have made it easier on the gear case chains. That's where the Magnum 325/330 4x4 comes in with its low range.
