Is there any thing that cant be cut with bolt cutters? i am looking for something not too expensive for both my quads. what has worked for you? THANX!!!!!!!!!

When I bought my ATV I also got full coverage. If it gets ripped off, falls of the trailor or even if I hit a deer, I get a new one.

I thought you had to have insurance?

I have a length of high tinsel chain I bought from Northern Tool. It would take you all day with a hacksaw and the rest of your life with a bolt cutter to get through. I also bought 2 Master Locks made out of the same kind of steel. I usually chain the machine to my truck frame. I also have full coverage on the 4-wheeler. Locks only keep honest people out but at least with that setup the crooks will have to work for it. 30 feeet of chain and the 2 locks ran about $50 but it is worth it in the long run.

They cant get to either of my quads.I leave mine inside my polebarn. It has NO windows at all in it.It has a 36 inch walk thru entrance door, and a large 18ft door that opens up for the car/truck to enter. My ATVs are blocked inside the polebarn at night by my PU truck,so you would have to move my truck first to be able to even think about getting to the quads.

The best protection I have for my quads is insurance. It cost me 108 dollars for the 00 Xplorer per yr,and 80 dollars for the 98 Recon.

If your quad has disk brakes then you can put a lock through the holes in the rotor. This way the quad will only move until the locks hit the calipers. If they want your quad then they will have to carry it or drag it away.
When I am out camping I will use a chain and tie it to a big tree along with the pad locks on the rotors.

MUDDY4LIFE, THEY can get to your quads if they wanted to i'm sure. We had a 96 Timberwolf in our shed with the Nissan in front of the doors, blocking them. The guy who stole it worked at the Nissan dealership and had a "master key" to OUR truck! He just unlocked the doors, moved it forward, picked the lock on the shed, pulled the T-Wolf out, locked the shed back up,then pulled the truck back where it was and locked it back up. Next time there will be a foundation with a chain through it.
