Default Quadrunner 160 Reverse Problem

Hello, I tried doing a search but had no luck. I have a quadrunner 160. When I try to put it in reverse, the reverse light goes on but when you give it gas, there is a short grind and it slips out of gear. Don't have any experience with these. Just wondering what can I check out? Thanks

If it has cable operated gear shift, the cables can stretch and not move the lever on the gearbox far enough. You have to adjust the cable so it goes in reverse, but don't overdo it or it won't go in forward properly.
