Got the TaoTao Cheetah home from the dealer on Saturday, and ever since riding it for the first time, we have a very strong smell in the garage where it's parked.
First I thought it's some paint, oil, coating etc burning off the engine, but it's been running for several hours now, and the smell does not seem to be getting much (if any) better.

Has anybody else smelled this? Any ideas?

Gas? You need to close the petcock after use. Plus new anything will burn a little.

 

It will take a few days of running before the smell will start to disappear. When i got my machine it took about 4 trips of about 8 hours before it did not stink anymore
