I would like to know if there is any way to adjust the rear axle bearing. Also, could you tell me if they are prone to premature wear?

I just did mine on the Scrambler. Bearings are just a part of regular maintenance. Honda, Yamaha, or any machine.

Every 2-3 years you need to replace the rear bearings.

My 95 Scrambler's just went on the rear. Just buy them and the proper seals. If you haven't done it before, let the dealer do it.

Just a part of maintenance.

I suggest just replacing the bearings and seals it is nothing, once you do this start using sythetic grease it costs about $4.99 a tube and is at least ten times better than the regular stuff.
