This only starts with my hand over carb intake.
I rebuilt carb replaced pilot jet same only starts with hand over carb and runs good after that then engine cools and it needs hand over carb choke looks like it works it push pulls??

Start with a compression check and see what you have. Low compression along with leaking crank seals can cause hard starting. Plus try it with the air box and filter in place if you have them off. Can cause hard starting also from too much air,not being able to draw in enough fuel.

Look over this to make sure you haven't over looked something in the carb..
If you're sure on the carb and at least 110 psi compression, then the other common thing that happens is the seal behind the drive clutch leaking.A leak down test can show if seals, base gasket, head gasket, cases are holding pressure.OR just remove the clutch and replace this seal.
