I see the Brute Force gets the bigger v-twin that the Teryx has. That's the only real difference I see in any of the models other than new colors. More power for the Brute Force will be a nice upgrade though.

I think the Brute 783cc is a misprint. Kawaie website indicates a 749cc engine for 2017....

Yeah, I remember Kawasaki saying when the 783cc engine was first introduced for the Teryx that it wouldn't make its way into the Brute Force. I was kinda hoping they had finally changed their mind but I guess they didn't. The 749cc engine is no slouch but more displacement wouldn't have been a bad thing. It still wouldn't be a match for the 1000cc machines but would have given it that boost to hang with the 800 class machines.

Good catch, guys. Venues all around the industry (like this) are running an apparently misprinted version of the press release but we went directly to Kawasaki to get the facts straight. This is taken from their official media kit:

2017 KAWASAKI BRUTE FORCE®ATV MODEL RANGE
Built around a sturdy frame, the Kawasaki Brute Force®ATV family is Kawasaki STRONG. Equipped with either a 749cc V-twin or a 271cc single-cylinder engine, depending on the model, the Brute Force lineup is designed to suit a variety of needs and budgets. The Brute Force 750 4x4imodels are available with Electric Power Steering (750 4x4i EPS and EPS Camo models) as well as four-wheel drive to help ensure you get the job done or conquer the toughest terrain. The price-friendly Brute Force 300 is a great tool to get the job done. With a rugged frame along with proven Kawasaki performance and dependable engines, the Brute Force family provides the perfect ATV for the sportsman and rancher alike.

We're not sure where word of the 783cc twin making it into the Brute Force got started, wishful thinking perhaps, but we've since amended the report to match Kawasaki's official statement.
