Default 2005 Grizzly 660 SE

Good Morning,
couple questions for ya all. I just sold my 2001 Honda rancher 350 to upgrade to a bigger machine. It mostly was used just for plowing 400 feet of driveway & work around the house & a few times a year for trail riding well my wife wants to do more trail riding & the Rancher was a very rough ride. My boss wants to sell his 2005 or 2006 Grizzly 660 SE it is very well maintained has less then 900 miles on it new tires look like they are Maxxis Zillas, has a rear passenger seat looks to be a quadboss weekender, comes with a new plow (unknown brand & size) tire chains & a 2500-3500lb winch believes it is a warn or super winch he wants $4500 the machine looks like it is in almost new condition
does this seem like a fair price? I have seen a few on local craigslist for $4000 most have close to or over 2000 miles & most don't have any accessories
Also what are any common issues with the Grizzly's I should keep my eyes on?
my only other choices for machines have been the Brute force & the King Quad

The price of $4500 seems on the high side to me...granted, very low miles, however, age must factor in. Having said this, I don't think many will have anything bad to say about the Grizz. I have owned two of them.....really liked them and mine were very reliable. Just check it out well. The other two machines you mentioned are fine ATV's as well. If it's "great" power you want, then take the BForce for a ride....

Thanks I am not really looking for great power just more then the Rancher had which probably would be any new 90cc & up LOL. even the Brute forces I see on facebook are all roughly the same year 2006 or older with 2000 miles+ and around the $4000 mark. The only reason I am leaning towards this Grizzly is I know how it has been treated & maintained. I will see how flexable his price is. I am not in a big hurry so I will keep looking also
Thanks again for the info

The Grizzly sounds like a very nice quad and since you said you will use it to plow snow, its already set up to do so and has the passenger seat too and nice tires. If you had to buy all of those accessories, well I'm sure you know how much those cost. 900 miles is very low and I assume it has been well taken care of. Since you know the owner very well I'm sure he would be willing to budge a little on the price. If you could get him down to around $3800-$4000 I think it would be a good deal. You've got about $1000 worth of extras so that would be like getting the quad for around $3000 without any accessories. You can find 660's in that price range but they don't have 900 miles on them and are not in pristine condition.

Thanks Greg
This was what I was thinking & when I see all these higher mileage machines with no accessories & they are asking $4,000 I did not think $4,500 was to bad. Prices really don't seem that great up here in the Northeast
But it also has been awhile since I bought a wheeler

The low miles is worth a lot and I assume he probably bought it new and is the only owner. A one-owner well maintained and taken care of machine is much better to have than one with a lot of miles and not in excellent shape. Machines with high miles generally have had many owners and not all of them will generally treat their machines well. They might cost less but you're going to end up spending more money on repairs and have more downtime instead of the machine being available to ride.

Yes he is original owner. I know he is maticulous on keeping his stuff top notch he apologized for the dirt on it when he took the pic because he was in the middle of a ride
