07 Wolverine 450 Takes Off Only At Higher RPMS?
#1
Hey guys, I have an 07 Wolverine 450 with just over 700 miles on it. I just recently got it, but it takes off at higher rpms when you take off initially. Once its going, you can't tell that there's an issue. I pulled the belt cover off and cleaned out some oil/water (not much in the bottom at all), but the guy I got it from stated that he had it in water. He said the belt was replaced last year, and I measured it and it looks like its the correct width. I cleaned off a few things under the belt housing and took it up the street and it seemed to work really good after that, but when I was putting it back together I noticed the belt had some grease on its teeth, so I wiped it off by spinning it about an inch at a time and wiping it outwards to clean its teeth. After I got it back together it had the same take off problem...
Could it be that I messed with the belt and cause it to act up again? I put it in neutral when I had it apart and revved it and the sheaves looked like they move how they're supposed to according to other people's videos on YouTube, but I've seen other guys mention issues with the wet clutch, so I'm not sure if I need to look into that instead. Any helpful info would be great! Thanks
Tom
