I'm looking into buying an 03 400ex it has no issues and some aftermarket plastics for 1500 is this a good deal? What should I look for on the quad? Thanks for any and all information

 

The upper motor mount goes through the rocker cover. Is not uncommon to have a crack on the cover at the mount. Check the swing arm, replacing the swinger bearings is total pia. Most of the time the pivot bolt does not come out. Generally they have to be cut, torched and sledgehammered out.
Other than that just check the tie rods, bearings and brakes.
Try to get it for 1200-1300.

 

Thanks for the info he seems pretty firm at 1500 I thought that was a good price seeing as around my area in the condition this one is in they seem to go for 2000-2200

 

Prices are regional. Around here a stock 03 goes for 1500.
