So longs tory short i bought a peace Sports atv used. It ran once then died, a friend of mine said it was probably a bad ground because it died while it was being ridden and all the wires was choped up and pieced together. I bought what i thought was a replacement harness but it wasn't. I then bought a second harness http://www.ebay.com/itm/291823109894?_trksid=p2060353.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT and installed it today but it wont crank. The head light turn on and off with the switch which makes me think the ignition and switch are good. What can i do to trouble shoot this further? I also confirmed the battery is putting out 12volts.

 

So i think everything works, i shorted out the solenoid and the starter cranks. I think the problem might be a defective on/off switch. It looks like the on/off switch might be missing a wire compared to my old switch. I can't find the power coming out of the switch. Any advice ?
