Default 1986 4x4 Foreman Starter or Starter Solenoid ???

Hit my starter button a couple of days ago and it clicked but didnt start, starter didnt engage, I hit the button again and it started up like always. The next day I had to do the button a couple of time and the starter engaged and it started right up yesterday I can hit the button and the solenoid clicks but no go.

I checked my battery and its up. Is there a way using my multimeter to determine if the solenoid is bad, or if its the starter? Its the first time its acted like this.

Not necessarily, if you have an intermittent fault it may just be that the fault was not "on" when you jumped across the solenoid. The best way to tell is to connect a 12v light to the starter live terminal and earth. Switch on, press the start button, if the lamp lights but the starter doesn't spin you have a faulty starter, if it lights and the starter does spin, try again until the fault comes on. If the solenoid clicks but the lamp doesn't light, you have a faulty solenoid. A lamp is best as meters can show voltage when there is not enough power getting through the solenoid to work the starter.
