New member, but been reading the forum for some time. Good stuff.
Looking for information on stator ohms. I have had issues mention on the forum where the ECm has been the problem. I did replace the ecm, but since I have the plastics off and access to the stator I check it. Followed the OEM repair manual and all three legs .5 ohms and the manual states .43 ohms but does not list any allowable variances that I can find.
SO does anyone know if my stator is good or bad based on the reading? I would replace it if it needs it.
A little history - battery light flashing - diagnostics cluster charging properly and when it is put in gear the voltage jumps to 18-19 volts. RPM reflecting 0. ECM was replaced - not sure if it fixed the voltage issue since I have the machine apart.

Sound s with in the 10/20% range plus or minus on the resistance checks. Not impossible to get a crappy ecm even if new as it controls so many different areas. It may solve one area such as the fan kicking on but if charging is still over 14.5 volts, something is wrong. Stator resistance should be low in one direction like you've measure plus no yellow should fault to ground. You should be able to reverse the + lead on the yellows, jumping from one to another and should show the same. Plus don't overlook the battery, load test and replace if necessary. The manuals do have a section on ecm checks and trouble shooting, just not enough in some cases. Stator resistance specs should be listed on the schematic diagram in the upper right hand corner in most cases.
