Brought this home last weekend. Man I love it. I'm just about to turn the 100 mile mark. Question? Where can I find the maintanence and repair manual? Also what should be the first after market purchase for my cat? And could someone tell me how the 4wd drive works on a 400. Do the front wheels engage when the rear wheels spin? I mean can someone tell me the technical stuff about it

Thanks

The manual is located in a slot under the seat. Remove the seat and it is right there. The diff works when the rear tires slip I believe. It works really well. I haven't had a chance to ride it as hard as I do my 500 but I can say it will turn all 4 wheels just like my 500. The narrower front tires really help the steering feel. It is much lighter than my 500. I don't know if the diff is technically all that different or not but it works the same way the diff does on my 500 manual, grab and go!

thanks dakotart i didn't know that was under there. i was a little to excited when I took it home that I didn't ask my dealer everything. I also noticed that all 4 wheels spin. I was wondering if there was a repair book like what you can buy for a car..you know like the haynes and chilton manuals.

I don't have a repair manual myself but some of the other guys out here have mentioned theirs so it must be available. E-mail cowboy, he's got one for sure. If not get your vin # hanndy and call arctic cat support and get a part # and just order it from your dealer. I was in such a hurry to get home and ride/play that I left my keys at the dealer and had to go back! Enjoy the ride!

You can purchase a service manual from your dealer which is the same one that they use if you bring your machine in for service. I purchased mine right after I picked up my 400. It's kind of spendy @ $49.00 but if you plan on doing your own repairs and adjustments its well worth the money! This manual covers ALL of AC's machines. Just remember to give them the correct model year.

P.S. The manual is very easy to use full of step by step instructions with pictures.
