Default 95 timberwolf

I bought a 95 timber wolf and the problem is when I am down shifting there is a grating noise. It only happens then not while going up in gears. Any ideas.

Adjust the clutch for a start. Not sure why it would only grate going down, but the clutch not disengaging properly would cause the gears to grind.

Bent shift fork can cause this aswell. does it do it while at idle if you just run up and down through the gears? only when under load?
