Default Question: What size tires can I put on my ATV.

I own a 2000 Polaris Xplorer 400 4x4. I need new tires. The sizes are 25 x 11-10 (back tires), 25 x 8-12 (front tires). What price should I expect to pay and should I get these exact tire sizes or can I substitute different sizes. This may seem an easy question to answer.. ....but I'm so confused, please be kind. Thank you, Marg.

I would either get 26" tall tires or stick with the stock 25" size, preferably 26". If you can't find tires to fit the 10" rear wheels you can buy 12" wheels and have a much larger choice.

Honda used to put 10" rear wheels on a lot of their quads too. There are quite a few choices in the 25x11x10 size. 25x8x12 is a very common front tire size, tons of choices in that size. Many times if you package 4 tires together you can get a better deal. I'm assuming you're not looking for something really aggressive, just a decent all around tire. You can find a full set for under $300. These ITP mud lite ats would be a good choice
