Default 2009 honda rancher 4x4 front end problems

i got a 2009 honda rancher 4x4 420 that is having some front end problems. When you ride the atv you can feel the front end start to bind up and then will pop and free up for a while then do it again any idea what might be going on?

Are you sure it is the front end? The 420 was notorious for rear axle/diff problems. If it is the front end, it could be a few things, wheel bearing CV joint or front diff bearings. If you jack up the front end and check wheel bearings for play, then remove the diff filler plug and wiggle the inner CV joint up and down, there should be no movement in the crownwheel. The joint will move a bit as it isn't all that tight in the diff, but any play in the crownwheel and the diff needs a rebuild, a bit of a specialist job.

Ack. Hope you were able to figure this out? If you've gotta replace any axles, I'd take a look at ACV. Good stock and prices.
