2002 Polaris Sportsman battery is fully charged but atv will not turnover nor will the lights come on! Is there fuses of some sort or what other issue would cause this problem? Any help is definitely appreciated.

20 amp circuit breaker in a plastic pouch located up from the battery.Check that you have power on each side of the red wire leading in and out. If it doesn't slice the pouch open and you can get a replacement at any auto supply.A lot of them corrode over time or just get weak and cut off. If power is going through it,problem could be in the left control switch or its wiring.

Is the fuse located on the same side as battery?

Same side as the battery up on the frame. Some are close to the rear fender and kinda hidden. Break down doesn't really show it's position correctly. Item #2. Also has another breaker (#3) for the fan. Rare cases a fusible link coming off the battery may blow and not allow power to get to the circuit breaker.(item#27)

I see no plastic pouch where the fuse is supposed to be located?

Believe I told you wrong on the location as the main breaker on the 2002 Sportsman is under the front panel along with the 10 amp fan breaker.Older models were ones that had the breaker on the rear frame area. Here's good video on this and also shows about the left control switch that can cause problems also on connections. If there is NO power to the breaker then that could be because of a melted fusible link that is located by the battery.

Pulled hood off and I see three black bags! Hopefully there are fuses in them.

One at the top left is for the fan. One should tie into the main harness. The other I can't remember what for? Probe the wiring for power, replace the breakers if corroded. If you still have problems, check the left control switch connections mentioned in the video.Rare occasions the fusible link can short.Located back at the battery area.If you need a cheap manual.http://polaris-atv.brssm.com/2002-Po...ce-Manual.html It can tell you what the third breaker is for that I can't remember. That's why they have manuals so folks don't have to try to remember.. Just looked at the schematic. Third 10 amp breaker is for the accessory plug.

Located the three enclosed links.....two we're fine the third is very corroded took it off and clean the connecters very good. I have power to the one wire when key is turned on. Cleaned everything spotless but still nothing when turning the key.
Could the rely be bad??
